Frequently Asked Questions:

Will an Approval Application be necessary for the schools-classrooms, churches, etc.?
No, Non-Profits, Schools, Churches, Scout Troops etc. are pre-approved for Donation Drives.

When and what should be done with approval documentation?
Once approval is granted and signed, the form is copied, and then emailed to “donor drive host” for posting at drive site. This form will remain in the MCCS office until goods are collected.

Will you keep a file of all the approved Drives?
Yes, all individual drives and businesses, with the exception of non-profits, will remain on file.

For tax purposes, are you a non-profit organization?
Yes, at drop off of donations, someone will assist and record your donation. At this time you will receive a 501(c)(3) tax exemption letter.

What should be collected?
Although there is a long list of needs, we find it best to narrow your drive to certain items at one time. Consider conducting a canned goods, dry staples or peanut butter drive; or a sock drive, undies drive, coat, hat and gloves drive; or a school supplies, children’s book or diaper drive. All items listed are very much needed.

When are donations needed and where is the collection site?
We will be posting detailed instructions by mid September 2020. Please watch our site and stay in touch for special instructions this year.

Does MCCS do pick up?
We are all volunteers and unable to provide pick up. We request that each donation drive make arrangements for a donation drop off. Contact us for exceptions.
