Donating Goods

DONATIONS ACCEPTED:
Beginning October 29th

• Tuesday and Saturday 9:00-4:00
• No Wednesday hours this year until Nov. 23rd.

The Montgomery County Christmas Store is a 501 (c)(3) charity organization registered with the Federal and State Governments. All donations are tax deductible. Receipts relating to goods donated (for the IRS) are available at donation sites.

**NO USED HOUSEHOLD ITEMS ACCEPTED FOR DONATION**
We apologize for any inconvenience but to due to space constraints, we will not be accepting donations for used household items of any kind.

Suggestions and Guidelines for Donating Goods:

New goods

• Winter items for babies and toddlers such as diapers, blankets, and strollers.
• Food items: canned food, (especially fruit), special diet items ( low sugar, low salt), powdered milk; cereal; non-perishable staples.
• Good, warm children’s clothing, especially coats, sweaters, jeans, hats and gloves.
• Adult and teen winter clothing (jeans, sweaters and warm shirts), especially large and extra-large sizes.

• Toys, dolls, sporting goods, board games and bike helmets.
• Gifts for teens (male and female). Small toiletry items for seniors.
• New household items, especially double bed sheets, electric blankets and pots & pans.
• Christmas wrapping paper, bows, ribbon and tape.
• New children's books, Christmas cards and postage stamps.

Used Goods

• Winter items for babies and toddlers such as diapers, blankets, strollers, and car seats.
• Good, warm children's clothing, especially coats, sweaters, jeans, hats and gloves.
• Adult and teen winter clothing (jeans, sweaters and warm shirts), especially large and extra-large sizes.
• Small gifts suitable for mom and dad from their children.
• Used toys such as stuffed animals, dolls, board games and preschool toys.
• Used books.

In selecting your items for the Christmas Store, please be aware that we cannot accept summer clothing and shoes, no houseshold items, especially furniture, and appliances. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by changes to our donation policies.
